My Christmas Round-Up! - Instagram Highlights From Christmas!

Hi my lovely Christmas baubles!!
I went a bit Instagram crazy over the festive period this year!! So I thought I'd do a kind of diary update to let you guys know what I got upto over Christmas, I know I always love a good nose at peoples Instagram posts!!

Christmas Eve!

Firstly I painted my nails in time for Christmas! I used Essie's Blanc and then a new Barry M polish called Lady, it makes a gorgeous, glittery snow effect! I loved it!

Then I changed my bedding, made it nice and festive with tartan bedding and a new throw from Primark, and my little diamond lights are also from Primark, I think they look so cute I might even keep them there after Christmas!
There's also my lovely little teal Christmas tree from Paperchase, I love it so much! I'm going to miss it when it's gone, it's made my room feel so much more festive!

And finally, in a Beckett family tradition, we brought down all of the presents from upstairs and sorted them into our seperate piles under the tree! I always hand everyone a present each on Christmas day and we all open them at the same time!

CHRISTMAS!
I wore my amazing Home Alone quote Christmas jumper! So warm and snuggly, and also super-festive!

I was so spoilt this year! I'm a very lucky girl with the most amazing friends and family

Then we cracked open a bit of pink fizz and had our traditional Christmas dinner! Can you tell I LOVE brussel sprouts?! haha.

And we had a after dinner game of Scrabble, which my boyfriend proudly won!

Some of my favourite presents from my friends and family

More food!! Including my dads homemade Christmas cake, which was lush!

And finally, my second present giving/receiving sesh with my boyfriend this time!
I got spoilt once again!! He got me some Nike Blazers which are SO SO SO exciting for me!! And a gorgeous new handbag, my favourite perfume, some Disney films and the Naked 3 palette!! Spoilt absolutely rotten haha.

Hope you all had an amazing Christmas, and that you all enjoy your new year immensely :)
Lots of love x

My Christmas Round-Up - The Final 3 Boots Beauty Advent Windows!

Hi guys!!
Long time no see, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was amazing, I had such a restful, fun-filled, cosy festive period, and I got so completely spoilt!!
I realised I never finished my Boots advent calendar posts either so I'll do that in this post! Naughty blogger *slaps wrist*.

Day 22!
Nails Inc. Porchester Square!
This is such a acclaimed, cult polish that I was super excited to receive it!
I'm wearing it on my nails now and I absolutely love it! It's a beautiful muted taupe colour, I can see why people rave about it so much.

Day 23!
I also got the Umberto Giannini Backcomb In A Bottle spray, I haven't used this properly yet but I've heard about it before from Miss Budget Beauty and it sounds promising!

And the FINAL day!!
The final window was this Seventeen Blowout Volumise Sculpt Tease Mascara!
It was a bit of a letdown to be honest, because I don't put much faith in mascaras as my lashes are so pathetically short that the only one that does anything to them is MaxFactor False Lash Effect mascara.
And I've tried this one and, as I feared, it was no good for me.
The brush is HUGE and pretty unmanageable.

All in all, this Boots Beauty Advent Calendar was an amazing buy!!
The packaging was sleeker than other advent calendars I've had from You Beauty and Selfridges, so it was easier to store, but the windows did pop open a little bit, I resisted peeking but they should be more secure really!
I really hope that Boots do another advent calendar next year, and if Superdrug were to do one I'd be even happier!!

Boots Beauty Advent Calendar - The Past Six Days!

Once again, I'm very sorry for the infrequency of these posts haha, I'm a bad blogger!! I've just been super busy this week, work's been mental and I've been fitting in all the socialising that needs to be done around the festive period!
So I better get started!

Day 16!
This was a bit of a odd one!! But I'm super happy with it because I need a new nail file, I always forget to buy them and the ones I have aren't doing the job anymore!

Day 17!
Soap & Glory Flake Away sugar scrub!
This was such a lovely surprise! I love Soap & Glory so a mini of these is always welcome!
I've used this once and it isn't very scrubby (a technical term) but it does leave my skin feeling nice and soft, and it smells amazing!

Day 18!
Another perfume sample! But as I've said before, I enjoy getting the perfume samples even though a lot of people don't like them!
This one is Ghost Moonlight, it's an unusual scent this one, it smells like oriental flowers!

Day 19!
I've never tried Carmex before! So I was super excited to see this behind the window!
I've been using it for the past few days and I'm loving it! I know it has petroleum in it which is bad for your lips, but I'm still enjoying using it.

Day 20!
Oohhhh mommaaaaaa
This is such an amazing holo polish!! I'm loving Mavala polishes at the moment, I've been using the two that I have to death so I'm glad I have another to add to my collection :)

Finally, day 21!
Nice to receive a haircare product! I like conditioning products as my hair is quite dry on the ends, and this Botanics one smells gorgeous!

So far I'm still super happy with my advent calendar!!
Hope you're all well :)

bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0 - The Vision - Review!

Hi my mint Matchmakers!!
Hope you're all doing really well and enjoying this festive period, I'm SO excited for Christmas now that I just wish I could sleep until Christmas eve!! But alas, I have to work :( I'm sure you all feel my pain, but let's stick with it!! Come the 23rd I'll be free of works shackles, and I hope the rest of you won't be too far behind :)
Onto the review!!

Today I'm reviewing a small palette I bought in Edinburgh last year, it was love at first sight but then when I got it home it got relegated to my eyeshadow collection and I forgot all about it!
But recently I discovered it again and fell in love all over again!
So I thought I'd do a review for you all :)

 How stunning is that!!
It's such an unusual pairing of colours that I just couldn't resist, these bareMinerals Ready 2.0 eyeshadows come in coordinating shades that can be worn together or seperately.

The quality of these eyeshadows is AMAZING, they're buttery (yes, that overused beauty blogger word), blendable and so pigmented it's unreal!

Illusion is a satin finish, powder blue eyeshadow, some might say this is a hard colour to pull off on the eyes but I think using it in the inner corner of your eye and blending it out into darker blues is a great way to wear it!

Mirage is the real star of this palette! It's a duo-chrome brown/blue shade which is an absolute stunner, especially on brown eyes (if I do say so myself!).
It's a lot like MAC's Club, but Mirage is a lot more vibrant in my opinion!

These bareMinerals Ready eyeshadows are very underrated and they're not talked about anywhere near as much as they should be!
They even rival the amazing Urban Decay eyeshadows!!

You can buy this bareMinerals 2.0 Ready eyeshadow palette from FeelUnique for £16.75.

Boots Beauty Advent Calendar - Doors 13, 14 & 15!

Hi guys!
Hope you're all well! I've completely FINISHED my Christmas shopping and left myself with completely skint haha but I'm so happy with my present choices and can't wait for my friends and family to open them now!!
Onto the advent calendar!!

I love a good eye cream! And this Vichy one says it's for eyes and lashes which really intrigues me!
I've been using it for the past couple of nights and it's really refreshing on my eye area!

Another perfume sample! But it has a spray on it so I'm happy!
I know I'm probably in the minority, but I'm really enjoying getting all these perfumes samples!! A lot of people moan about receiving them but I really like having a few tries of a perfume so I can add it to my lust list if I like it!
Anyway! This perfume is Juicy Couture - Couture La La!
It's a pretty, light, floral scent, not as sweet as I would normally wear but it is really feminine.

And day 15 is the most intriguing of all! A semi-permanent liquid eyeliner from Seventeen!
It says 48 hour wear which seems like a long-shot to me! I've never had any makeup stay on my face 48 hours, or anywhere close!
I will be giving this a good go and if it works I might even review it in full on my blog.

Hope you're having a great December!!

Boots Beauty Advent Calendar - What's Behind Doors Number 11 & 12?!

Hi!
I've missed another day again! But this time, only one!
I'm sure the suspense is killing you so lets crack on!

Day number 11 is another perfume sample! This time it's ''Ghost''!
This is a really weird scent, it's extremely light, when you first sniff it you smell nothing and then after a minute a slightly powdery, floral scent hits you!
It's by no means strong, it's extremely subtle so if you like that in a fragrance then you'll like this.

Day 12! Halfway through the calendar!
This was a interesting one! Salon Nail Care Shine Solution from Boots, it's supposed to be a quick drying solution that makes your nails nice and shiny, so I'll definitely be giving this a good go! I'm unsure whether it'll live upto my beloved Seche Vite, but we'll see!

Boots Beauty Advent Calendar - Door #10!

Hi nutcrackers!
Isn't this month speeding by?! Hope all of your Christmas shopping is coming along ok and you're not panicking! No room for panic in this festive season, if you're not enjoying it then you're doing it wrong!

Time to take a peep behind the doors again!
 Orly Bonder Rubberized Basecoat!
I've never tried this before, the only basecoat I ever use is Nail Envy from OPI and I LOVE that, so this has a lot to live upto but I'm excited to give it a go!
I'll be putting it on tomorrow morning before I go to work, that will give it a good test!
