Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash - Review!

Hi poppets!!
I thought I'd do a review on this relatively new product I bought from Amazon recently, it's the Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash in the colour Black Pearl!
I saw this product in the Selfridges limited edition Summer Box, it was pretty much the only thing I wanted to try from it so I thought it made more sense to just buy it seperately!

It really is the oddest contraption!!
At first I didn't know how to use it at all, I kept dropping it! But now I've got used to it and it does do a good job at getting through wet, knotted hair!
I don't fully know why it has a hole in it, the hole isn't big enough for my to fit my hand through so it's not some sort of handle, I think it might just be for when you use it on wet hair then you can stand it up and let any water drain out, although I don't know when it would get that wet that water is draining off it!

You can also use it for combing conditioners through your hair, which is handy as you don't want to use your actual hairbrush to do that and then use it on your dry hair, that would make no sense!
I currently have 3 Tangle Teezers, a pink one in my bag, a blue glittery one that I use when I'm styling my hair and this one that I use when my hair is wet.
I can't big up Tangle Teezers enough, but I feel like the Aqua Splash isn't a necessary addition to my collection, I could definitely cope without it but it is handy for when my hairs wet or for conditioning treatments.

You can get this in lime green, bright blue and bright pink too, but I just got black as it was the cheapest on Amazon! haha.

Pro's
. Bristles are slightly longer than normal Tangle Teezers, making it easier to use on thicker hair.
. Easy to store because it stands up so you could set it down anywhere.
. Multi-use as it can be used on wet or dry hair, and to comb through conditioner.
. Like all Tangle Teezers, it doesn't stress or break damaged hair.

Cons
. A bit too bulky.
. If you already own a Tangle Teezer I don't think the Aqua Splash is entirely a necessary purchase.

HUGE Collective Beauty/Fashion Haul! Primark, Boots, Superdrug, H&M.

Hello there everybody!
It's that time again, when I admit to you all that I have zero willpower when it comes to shopping :)
In my defence, I have been very good at not shopping recently, this is over quite a long period of time!
I'm actually focusing on condensing my beauty products at the moment, wait until you see the size of my ''Empties'' post for this month, it's mammoth!!

I'll start with the beauty bits I got from Superdrug and Boots :)
I'll try and link to where to buy the things I'm showing as and when I can.

Superdrug

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Classic Beige - £5.49.
I got this concealer for when I'm more tanned, and I have to say I'm extremely impressed!
It doesn't cake under my eyes, which is a huge problem with me and concealers, and it's very moisturising and sets nice and firm so it doesn't fade away throughout the day, I'm going to pick this up in a lighter shade once my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer runs out.

MUA Mega Volume Mascara in Black - £3.00.
I only got this mascara because it looked like an exact dupe for Maxfactor False Lash Effect Fusion mascara, which is my holy grail mascara, except it's only £3.00 versus Maxfactors £11.99.
The brush isn't that dissimilar, the bristles are most spaced out on the MUA though, but it still does a great job and I'll definitely be turning to this mascara over the Maxfactor if I'm running a bit low on funds, it's a great alternative.

MUA Gel Eyeliner in Underground - £3.00.
I've heard a lot of hype about this product, especially from the gorgeous Maria Sparkle whose opinion I always trust, so I thought it was about time I picked it up.
I haven't actually used it yet because I'm waiting for my current eyeliner to run out, but I'm very excited to and if it blows me away then I'll be sure to do a review :)

MUA Undress Your Skin foundation in Golden and Porcelain - £5.00.
I got this foundation on the recommendation of my favourite Youtuber Miss Budget Beauty, she raves about it so much that I knew I had to try it!
So I got it in Golden for when I've fake tanned and Porcelain for when I'm doing my Casper The Friendly Ghost impression.
So far, I'm loving it! I like to mix the Golden with my Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Coverage foundation for a full coverage but still glowy base.
The Porcelain is really nice on its own though, just to even out my skin and give a non-cakey, natural look, it's a winner for me!

Maybelline 24HR Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate - £4.99.
I LOVE these Maybelline Colour Tattoos, they're such a fantastic product and it's my mission to collect every single colour!
I wish we had as many over here as they do in America, I'd give my left thumb for Barely Branded for instance!

Boots

Maxfactor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara in Black - £11.99.
This is my all time favourite mascara, as I mentioned before, and I wouldn't be without it now!
But I feel utterly duped by Boots, I had a £2 off Maxfactor coupon so I thought I was getting a good deal for £9.99, but I've just discovered you can get this exact mascara for £6.99 on Amazon!!
I love Amazon for beauty bargains, in fact I have a upcoming post about all of the beauty bargains you can bag on Amazon, and they're not fakes or anything it's all legit and above board, I've no idea how they do it but I'm not complaining about those kind of savings!!

SEVENTEEN Doll'd Up Mascara in Blackest Black - £6.29.
I also had a coupon for this mascara which meant I got it for only £2, so naturally I couldn't resist (I told you I have a problem with spending).
It's not so hot for the top lashes if I'm honest, it's clumpy, not very volumising, pretty poor.
But for the bottom lashes, WOW! It's perfect! It curves to the shape of my eye and doesn't deposit too much product, it literally gives me doll eyes!
So if you're looking for a good bottom lash mascara then this is great, but maybe a bit pricey for what it is.

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in Black - £11.00.
Excuse the pants picture, damn the stupid reflective packaging!!
But as you can see, this has a tiny little wand on it which is perfect for the bottom lashes..in theory! It actually takes a lot of getting used to for me! I felt like I was going to jab myself in the eye with it constantly.
I've mastered it now and it does a great job on the bottom lashes, but I don't think I'd purchase it again just because it's not a product I absolutely NEED in my collection.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius - £5.50.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm a bit of a sucker for foot products! It's probably because as a rule I hate feet, so I want to make mine look as appealing as possible so I can stomach to look at them haha.
This isn't the kind of foot cream you slap on and go about your daily business with though, this is a foot cream you should put on, put some socks over and chill out watching some Netflix or reading a book (because I know I can't stand sleeping in socks!).
It needs to soak into the feet and won't work properly if you're walking around on it all day.
It's so lovely and cooling, I really love going in the bath and then putting this on my feet before bed, it works a treat!

Soap & Glory Sugar Brush Body Buttercream - £10.50.
First of all I have to say, believe the hype about this Sugar Crush fragrance! Because everyone says it's amazing and it really truly is, it's the most gorgeous sweet, warm lime fragrance, next time you're in Boots give it a sniff and I guarantee you'll be hooked!
This is a brilliant body butter, it is a bit pricey but I think it's worth it as it leaves your skin feeling so moisturised for hours after and the smell really lingers, I can't wait to try the Sugar Crush body wash too!

Soap & Glory Endless Glove Moisture Mask & Hand Cream - £5.50.
I love the Hand Food hand cream from Soap & Glory so I had high hopes for this one too, but I've been left a bit disappointed.
For a start, THE SMELL, yeesh I've never smelt anything so strong in my whole life! I put it on at night and I could still smell it in the morning! I wouldn't mind if it was a subtler scent, but I don't want to be able to smell my hands all day long.
It's also stickier than the Hand Food and I hate having sticky hands, so I only use this last thing at night before bed.

Gilette Simply Venus 2 Disposable Razors - £3.99.
These are my favourite razors of the moment, they leave my legs silky soft and last for ages! I can't seem to find them online anywhere so maybe they're being discontinued or repackaged but any Gilette disposable razors are fantastic!

Primark

I've gone a bit cheap trainer potty lately! I love how comfortable these Primark Vans rip-offs are, I'd been wanting some Vans for ages but I can't afford to splurge that much at the moment, so these £6 dupes are a great substitute! I'm definitely in the market for more colours, but Primark is a bit shitty at having size 6's in stock so I'll have to wait, boo!
And FYI, in case you hadn't heard, Primark is now available on Asos.com! Obviously not all the stock, because there's tons of it, but there's a few key pieces which is nice for people overseas who want to try Primark as ASOS delivers worldwide!

I also got these pretty little nude pumps with ankle straps and gold stud detailing, I haven't worn these yet but I think they'll look cute with a little Summer dress, if Summer ever comes back to these shores of course!
These were £6.

And now for my bargain of the month! This lovely grey marl skater dress, it looks SO Topshop that I just had to have it! It was only £8, and I love the contrasting black sleeves.
This style of dress is my favourite, it's very flattering for the slightly plump amongst us, like myself :)

H&M

White & mint lace skater dress - £24.99.
This is such a gorgeous dress! Really feminine and ladylike, I feel almost like a woman from the 50's in this, (and by that I don't mean it makes me like a woman who's over 60).

Lilac lace skater dress - £24.99.
I got the same dress in this beautiful rich, lilac colour, it looks great with a tan!
Again, this is such a beautiful fit and so easy to wear.

Colourful Aztec print skater dress - £9.99.
Can you tell I like skater dresses yet?
This dress has unfortunately now sold out online, but check in stores if you like it because the stores always have stock that the website doesn't.
I just LOVE this dress, it's so flattering and the colours are gorgeous, plus the pattern creates an optical illusion that makes you waist look smaller and for £9.99 the fabric is so thick and amazing quality, big thumbs up!

Monochrome geometric print skater dress - £9.99
This is basically the same dress, same fabric and shape but a different print and colour.
I also love this dress, it's such a staple, go-with-anything piece, I'm very glad I bought it!

And there we go!! If you've come this far then I feel like I should award you with some sort of medal, it's in the post :)
Hope you enjoyed this haul!
Have a brilliant Wednesday night!

Loreal Skin Perfection Skin Care - My Thoughts!

Aloha!
Just to set the tone for this post, I'm currently listening to Aqua's first album Aquarium as I write this, anyone else remember them?! I absolutely loved them, top class pop songs, you can't go wrong! But also, does anyone else find the guys voice pretty creepy?
Case in point, this song;
SWEET SUGAR CANDYMAN.
That will haunt me in my dreams tonight....

Moving on! Today I'm going to do a review of the Loreal Skin Perfection skin care range!
They sent me the 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil and the Purifying Gel Wash, I've been using these solidly for about two months, I'm about three-quarters of the way through the oil but I've barely made a dent in the gel wash because you need so little for your whole face.

The range has options for every skin type, the products they sent me are for normal skins really, so suitable for pretty much any type of skin, I have dry skin and these didn't do anything horrendous to my skin so that's a plus!
The 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil promises to ''instantly dissolve even waterproof makeup'' and it does do a good job at removing makeup, but I never wear waterproof mascara and I still need to go over my eyes twice with this before all my makeup is off, but that's still good for such a budget product.
You apply the oil to dry skin and it dissolves the makeup and when you rinse it off with water it emulsifies and washes the makeup away.
I used this on my eyes too and it didn't sting them, although the oil makes my vision a bit blurry for a few seconds!
I don't know if it would be suitable for people with oily skin, maybe if you had combination skin but it might be too much for oily skin, but for my dry skin it's really nice and makes you feel squeaky-clean!
This is originally £7.99 but it's now on offer for £5.33 at Boots.

UPDATE, I'm now listening to Westlife

The Purifying Gel Wash is a pretty basic face wash if I'm honest, I did like using it and it did the job I needed it to, washed my skin and refreshed me, but I couldn't use it over my eyes as, even thought it contained no soap, it stung like a bugger!
It doesn't promise anything amazing on the website anyway, so it's not like it promises the world then doesn't deliver, it's a standard, good value face wash!
Personally, I prefer using this in the morning to refresh my skin, I prefer something creamier for nighttime.
Even better, it's only £2.99 in Boots right now!

I'm definitely going to pick up the Micellar Solution from this brand also, that looks amazing and I've heard great things about it!

Will you be trying any of these products? Or have you already tried them? Let me know!

Thanks for reading gorgeous people! And FYI, I'm still listening to Westlife, their Allow Us To Be Frank... album to be precise ;)
Can't beat some swing!

theBalm ''Balm Jovi'' Palette - Swatches and Review!

Hello pretty people!
Today I'm bringing you a review of my new favourite eyeshadow palette, theBalm Balm Jovi palette!
This review is coming at an appropriate time because I'm actually going to see Bon Jovi in Sunderland next week!!

I absolutely love the packaging! There's so much thought gone into the names and the design of it, theBalm packaging is really incomparable!
As you can see you get 12 eyeshadows, a mixture of mattes and shimmers, a highlighter (the world famous Mary Lou-Manizer!) and a blush (Frat Boy).

From L-R - Metal-Ica, Adagio, Blink 1982.
Metal-Ica is a amazing icy silver, Adagio is a completely matte nude colour and Blink 1982 is a pinky-brown with gold shimmer running through it.

From L-R - Iron Main-In, Allegro, The Stroke.
Iron Maid-In is a bronze-y warm gold, Allegro is a matte mid-brown with red undertones and The Stroke is a beautiful midnight blue with blue and silver shimmer shot through it.

From L-R - Lead Zeppelin, Moderato, rem.
Lead Zeppelin is an incredible khaki shimmer with lots of bronze running through it, Moderato is a dark purple matte and rem is a cool-toned lilac with silver glitter.

From L-R - Alice Copper, Presto, Third Eye Blinded.
Alice Copper is a burgundy copper colour, very akin to MAC's Cranberry eyeshadow, Presto is a straightforward matte brown and Third Eye Blinded is a beautiful shimmery pink-nude, perfect for highlighting the browbone and the inner corner of your eye.

The highlight is so gorgeous, I use this for under my browbone a lot too, it's great when blended all over the lid with a fluffy blending brush too, gives you a really polished look.
And I already own this blush but it's a gorgeous matte dusky peach-pink colour.

I'm never a massive fan of lip colours that you apply with a finger or a lip brush, I usually like straightforward lipsticks, but these are so creamy and nourishing and the colour is super pigmented!
Milly is a amazing dusky pink colour, perfect for a bold eye, and Vanilly (how epic are these names?!) is a blood red, and every girl needs one of those!!
These can also be used on the cheek, although I haven't yet used them for that purpose, but I think Milly would be especially pretty as a cream blush.

I also really like the way they've made this ''Top 4 looks'' bit on the bottom of the palette, it's a cool little addition and I will have to try some of these looks to see if they work together!

Isn't that just beautiful?
The texture of the shadows is great too, really pigmented and buttery with very minimal fall out.
This retails at £34 from FeelUnique.
I think it's really worth the money as you get so many different components with it, definitely more worth the money than a lot of palettes (Nars, I'm looking at you!).

Perfect for a girl, like me, who loves quirky packaging and who is obsessed with eyeshadow palettes, yes I should probably stop buying them as I own so many but hey, It's...My...LIFE! (Bon Jovi joke, it had to be done!).

TTFN!
