Small Drugstore Haul!

Hello again my lovelies!
Happy Thursday!! Not long until the weekend now!
I'm off to Sunderland dog track for a day/night out with my workmates tomorrow, going to watch some doggies run around in the (hopefully) sunshine and have a few drinks and a disco!
Are you guys upto anything nice this weekend?

Anyway! Onto my mini haul, I went shopping this weekend because I got paid last Friday, I didn't buy much but I thought I'd show you guys anyway :)

First I went to Superdrug, all the brushes are on buy one get one half price at the moment, so I thought it'd be rude not to take advantage!!
I got the Expert Face Brush and the Shading Brush, they're both SO unbelievably soft, I haven't used the Shading Brush much yet, I can't decide whether to use it for concealer or eyeshadow, but I LOVE the Expert Face Brush, it's similar to (my all-time fave base brush) the Buffing Brush but smaller and more dense, it applies your foundation flawlessly and is definitely worth the £8.99! The Shading Brush is only £6.99 so I got that one for only £3.50!

If you've read my posts before then I've mentioned these are my favourite facial wipes a few times, and they're currently half price in Superdrug, win!

Then I went to Boots and decided I'd cash in my Advantage Card points! I had over £11 on it (yes, I shop a lot) so I decided to spend them all in one go on a new Tangle Teezer!
I already have one and have had mine for over a year, but I needed a new one because the bristles were getting too bent and it was starting to pull on my hair, I haven't thrown my old one away though, I keep it in my bag for brushing my hair on the go :)
I LOVE Tangle Teezers, they're amazing, I don't know how they make it completely painless to brush your hair, my guess is magic.
These are £10.99, and worth every penny!

And finally, my new favourite deodorant, Dove Go Fresh in grapefruit & lemongrass scent!
It's amazing, so fresh and different to all other deodorants, plus it really does what it says on the tin and stops you from smelling all day!
This was half price in Boots for about £1.60.

And that's that! As I said, not much, but I thought it was worth showing you :)
Hope you're having a good day!
Love you beautiful people!

Lush ''Angels On Bare Skin'' Cleanser - Review!

Long time no see!!
I haven't blogged in a while because I've been pretty busy working but I'm back today with a Lush review!
I used to do a lot of Lush reviews on their bath bombs because my lovely boyfriend buys me Lush things usually for my birthday or Christmas, and for this Christmas he bought me the Angels On Bare Skin cleanser!
I'd heard a lot of stuff about this so was very excited to use it!

As you can see it looks a bit like porridge in the pot, it's made out of ground almonds and when you add water it turns into a almond milk with a few whole almonds in to exfoliate your skin, that may sound like it would be uncomfortable but the almond kernels are smooth so they just offer you a gentle exfoliation.

This is supposed to even out your skin tone, reduce redness and improve the health and appearance of your skin, and it did make my skin feel and look healthier, I can especially appreciate this now I've finished this tub and moved onto other products, because my skin has been breaking out like mad!
I don't think it reduces redness, I do have warm-toned skin with redness in my cheeks and to me it didn't bring the redness down at all.
This lasted me about 3 months, which is an amazing amount of time in my eyes! So even though the Lush cleansers aren't the cheapest ones on the market, they do last you a long time.
The only thing is, they have a expiration date on the top because this product has fresh ingredients in it, but I used my pot a few weeks past the use-by date and nothing terrible happened to me, I think it's more of a guideline than a rule.
I wash mine off with a muslin cloth usually, unless I'm using it in the shower or bath, just to give my dry skin an extra exfoliation.

Pro's
. Leaves your skin looking and feeling soft and smooth.
. Smells yummy, like cherry bakewells!
. Made from all natural ingredients so great for sensitive skin.
. All Lush products are cruelty free, meaning they're not tested on animals (take note other beauty brands!!)
. A little goes a long way, lasts for a long time.

Cons
. Didn't reduce the redness in my skin like it promised.
. Took me a while to get used to the method of application, can be quite messy mixing it with water in your hand.
. If you have very dry, flaky skin this might not be for you, as it is a very mild exfoliation.

And that's my review! I'd definitely use this again, especially now my skin is breaking out like little escaped convicts are living under my skin!!

Angels On Bare Skin is available from Lush stores worldwide and from the Lush website.

Hope you're all having a great week and are looking forward to the weekend!
Love you guys!!

FOTN - Rose-Gold Eyes.

Hello you lovely buns!
I thought I'd do a face of the night post because I went to a house party on Friday night, it was two of my best friends housewarming party.
We had such a great time, we consumed quite a large amount of alcohol (aren't house parties lethal for that?!), had a old fashioned sing-song around a guitar and didn't get home until 5am!

 Face -
Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover foundation in Ivory Light.
Soap & Glory Kick-Ass concealer in Light.
Maxfactor Creme Puff powder in Medium Beige.
I love all of these products, the Estee Lauder foundation is an absolute godsend for nights out, it makes my skin look absolutely flawless and lasts all night! It can be a little bit cakey, so put a little bit of moisturiser on beforehand and it goes on like a dream!
The Soap & Glory concealer is amazing, it does crease under my eyes after I've been at work for a long time but it's great for everyday use, but the packaging is complete crap, it's totally broken so make it more durable please Soap & Glory!!
And the Maxfactor powder is lovely and gives some extra coverage if you need it.

Eyes -
Bare Minerals READY eyeshadow in Bragging Rights on the lid and on the lower lashline, Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner to create the thick black line on my lid, Bare Minerals READY eyeshadow in VIP on my waterline. (I've done a review on the palette that my Bare Minerals eyeshadows are from, I'll link that for you here).
Eylure 140 Intense eyelashes, my favourite eyelashes EVER, and Lancome Hypnose Star mascara on my bottom lashes.

Lips/Cheeks/Eyebrows -
MAC Creme Cup lipstick.
MUA Out There lipgloss in Candy Pink.
17 Instant Glow Shimmer Brick.
Rimmel eyebrow pencil in hazel.

And that's...all? Yeah, I definitely wear too much makeup ;)

Did you have a good weekend? Let me know in the comments!
Back to work tomorrow, hold my hand, we can get through this together...
Love!

March Favourites!

Happy April!
I hope you didn't get April fooled too horrendously, luckily I wasn't at work so I didn't get anything awful done to me, as I can guarantee if I was that they would have played some horrendous trick on me haha!

About time I do my March favourites I think! I don't have many this month but I hope you enjoy them anyway :)

Zara Office City Bag in Tan.
I did a post on this Zara bag and it's so gorgeous that I had to include it in my favourites! The only thing that's wrong with it is I can barely fit it in my locker at work haha I have to jam it in diagonally which really pains me to do in case I hurt it (I'm aware it's not living by the way).

Dove Go Fresh Grapefruit & Lemongrass Deodorant.
This is the most gorgeously scented deodorant in the land! My best friends use this and as soon as I sprayed it on myself once when I was staying round their house and I was instantly hooked!! This might be gross, but I like the fact you can smell it whilst you sweat throughout the day, it reassures me that it's working!

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 13 - Pink In Paris.
I always swore I'd never get suckered in by a £24 lipstick like this, but I was wrong, I'm completely and utterly suckered!!
This is such a gorgeous, easy to wear shade, I find myself reaching for it all the time as it goes with any makeup look you're sporting.

Vitamin C Tablets.
Not this brand of Vitamin C tablets in particular, just any brand, I've just noticed that I feel a bit sparkier and I don't seem to be getting colds as often since I started taking these this month! I prefer chewable ones because I HATE swallowing pills.

Blistex Relief Cream.
As you can see, I've used this up now, it didn't last me very long, maybe a month, but I used it obsessively! It seemed to really smooth out my lips and helped with the chapped-ness I've been getting due to the cold weather, I've now bought the Blistex Intensive Moisturiser treatment but I don't like it as much so when that runs out I'll definitely be going back to this one!
It's one to use at night for sure though as it leaves a white look to your lips, not nice for daytime!

Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask.
This is one of my holy grail products, I don't think I've ever featured it in a favourites post before and I don't know why!
If you've got dry skin this product is an absolute godsend! When I have dry patches on and beside my nose, which are my dryest area, I apply this cream thickly to the area and leave it on overnight, and by the morning my dry patches are GONE, no word of a lie!
You can use it as a mask as well, where you leave it on for 10 minutes and then use a muslin cloth to wash off the excess, but for intensive treatment I prefer to leave it on overnight.

My TV programme of the month is The Vicar Of Dibley! I know this has been out for years and years, but I've never got into it before now, and I must say I absolutely loved it! I've watched all of them now and I thoroughly enjoyed it :) Especially her marrying Richard Armitage at the end, the lucky duck, he's just a bit gorgeous!

I've been listening to a lot of the same music as last month still but I've also been getting into a few ''blast from the past'' type songs, anyone remember JoJo?!

Is it weird that I still enjoy these songs now?! Nah, I thought not :)

And finally for reading this month I've been loving...
Two Magazine by Pixiwoo!
This is a solely beauty magazine which has been created by the famous Youtube makeup guru's the Pixiwoo sisters, and it's amazing!
It's a magazine that's only available on your PC, Ipad and Iphone, just search for Two Magazine in the App store and download it for FREE from there.
I'd definitely recommend it if you're beauty product mad like me, you'll adore it!

And that's it for me this month! I hope you've enjoyed this post and I've inspired you to spend some of your hard earned cash, like you guys inspire me to spend mine haha :)
Love you all lots!

Loreal Preference Mousse Absolue Hair Dye - A Full Review!

Hi there!
Hope you all had a brilliant Easter weekend, I certainly did and I'm not looking forward to going back to work today :(
But if we didn't have days at work we wouldn't appreciate the days off half as much so we can't complain!

Today I'm doing a review on the new Loreal hair dye ''Loreal Preference Mousse Absolue Hair Dye'' in the shade 400 - Natural Dark Brunette.
It's a revolutionary new product, a ready to use, reusable mousse hair dye! Loreal are really knocking it out of the park lately with their new products, especially hair dyes, they're second to none as far as innovation goes!

I received it in this snazzy presentation box, and when you open it there's a normal size box of hairdye inside.

There was also a press release sent with it, which had loads of interesting information about the product so I thought I'd take a few pictures of it and post them too :)
All very interesting! I think the shade range is very good as well, although I think they could do with a light brown shade.

The instructions are similar to the Loreal Wild Ombre's kits instructions, clear explanations and lots of pictures.
Now onto the actual product!

This is what my hair looked like before, pretty blonde/gingery on the ends, quite brassy so it was definitely time to dye over it!

This is what comes in the box, you get the actual dye (obviously), the nozzle for the dye, two pairs of snazzy black gloves and the repairing conditioner.

First, put your black gloves on, then remove the lid from the hair dye.

Then firmly attach the nozzle onto the hairdye, make sure you hear the clicks at either side so you know it's on properly and isn't going to fly off and cause a disaster area in your bathroom!
Then shake the canister about 20 times.

When it's all shook up (uh-huh-huh..my Elvis impression) it should look like this! Lovely, fluffy mousse! Mine has a bit of the brown dye streaked through it but don't worry about that, that's normal :)
I can't get over how easy this was! If you use hair dyes a lot you'll know that you usually have to mix then together and it's a bit of a faff, but this is just click on the nozzle and press down, easy peasy!

Then spread it all over your hair, it says start at the top on the instructions but because I was going over my lighter dipdye I thought I'd start at the bottom so the colour would be on there longer.
It feels like you're applying quite a lot of the dye and it isn't making your hair look like it's got any dye on it, because usually your hair goes quite wet looking when it's saturated with dye, but this just kind of absorbs into the hair.
I only realised it was working when I noticed my dipdye starting to change colour, so don't go too mad with the dye too quickly because you don't think it's doing anything, because it is!

This is what the packaging looked like after, it's not as filthy as I thought it would be! I gave it a quick wipe with a cloth and it's ready to use again.
I would prefer it if you could see how much dye is left, when I shake it it feels like about half is left over, but I can't be sure.

This is what my hair looked like after about 15 minutes of the dye being on my hair, as you can see my dipdye is practically completely covered up! Excuse my filthy top, it's my hair dyeing top, everyone should have one! It's the height of fashion don't you know.

I then waited until the full 30 minutes was up and rinsed my hair until the water ran clear, applied the Satin Touch conditioner and left it on for about 10 minutes to make sure it nourished my hair properly, and then rinsed that until it felt like all of the product was out of my hair.

And this is what it looked like after!
Don't mind the towel, I'd just got out of the bath!
I was really surprised by the colour! Usually when you dye your hair dark brown it goes a really stark, unnatural colour for a few washes and goes almost black! But this dye made it go such a lovely, natural brown, my ends are still a tiny bit lighter than the top of my hair but it just looks like extremely subtle highlights, I am completely in love!

I'm so happy to have dark hair again, what do you think of my hair?

Pro's
. Develops as a lovely, natural colour.
. Easy to use.
. Non-drip formula.
. Reusable, can be used for several weeks after it's opened so great for touchups.

Cons
. Pricier than a normal hairdye.
. Could do with a couple of light brown shades in the colour selection.
. Although the packaging is lovely, I would like to be able to see how much product is left in the canister.

And there we go!

Loreal Preference Mousse Absolue Hair Dye is currently £8.99 in Superdrug and Boots stores and online, its RRP is usually £10.99 so if you want to try it I suggest doing so now whilst it's still on offer :)

Hope your first day back at work hasn't been too bad, if you're back today, if not I'm stupendously jealous!!
Love you guys!!
