An unexpected beauty obsession!

Now, this is not usually the kind of thing i get obsessed with but WOW, let's have a look at them...

THE best deodorant i've ever used! The smells are so lovely and powdery smelling, you can smell them on you all day too, and they really stop you from sweating! The colours of the bottles are great too and they look so good on my toiletries shelf :) My favourite one is almond milk & honeysuckle, it's indescribable in smell but all i know is it's gorgeous! and the best news is, they're currently £1 in Sainsburys and Savers at the moment :)

NOTD!

Hiya!
Just thought i'd do a quick nails of the day post, this is the first post about nails since i had to cut them because one of them split down the middle :( boohoo! So excuse my short, stubby excuses for nails haha.

I found both of these colours at the back of all my nail varnishes and i haven't used them for ages so i thought, as i was going to use my Laurens Way tan and get all bronzed and lovely (review here) i would crack them open and give them a go! The nail varnishes i used are as follows;

W7 nail polish in Orange Dazzle! I love this, so unusual to have a bright orange nail varnish with flecks of light green and gold glitter in! I don't know why i haven't used this before now. I got this as a gift from my mam but i think it was around £2, and you can buy it here at Amazon for £1.99, bargainous!!
And the polish i'm wearing on my thumbnail issssss....

Revlon glitter top-coat in Slipper! I didn't use this as a topcoat though, i just kept building up the colour until it went quite dense. It's lovely red and silver glitter with tiny holographic hexagons in it! I paid £1.39 for it from Boyes but you can buy it off Amazon again for £1.49!
Hope you enjoyed this post :)

Laurens Way review!

Hiya!
If you follow me on Twitter you'll know that I ordered the tanning kit from Laurens Way which consists of the tanning lotion and bronzing mousse for only £20 for a limited time only! and I also used the 25% off code from Vivianna Does Makeup (which expires today so get on over there and pick it up!) which brought the price down to £15! Considering the cheapest of these two tans costs £15.95 that's an amazing saving!! I was so excited to use these and when they came yesterday i was beside myself!
I waited until before i went to bed because that's usually when i do all my tanning, so i can wake up a lovely golden (occasionally orange if I've overdone it!) colour!
Before i started i took a picture of how pale i was, i was so white i was practically blue!!

I used my St Moriz tanning mitt, which was about £2 from Savers, to apply the tan, i used the mousse for my first layer -

It looks PRETTY unsightly haha but it definitely does the trick, it goes on very smoothly and you only need a couple of pumps to do your whole arm or leg.
Then i used the lotion for my second coat -

I put faaar too much on my mitt because i'm used to a less pigmented tan like St Moriz and i had enough to use on both of my legs from just a couple of pumps! (don't mind my cat Smudge snoozing in the background on that picture! haha)
And here are the results!
Really happy with the colour! Considering it's only 2 coats this is such a lovely golden colour! I'm really happy with this tan and would thoroughly recommend it, it's a much more olive, natural colour than St Moriz! But i'll still be using St Moriz to top up my tan on my stomach and back so i don't waste my Laurens Way.
I haven't showered off the top layer yet so i'll see what kind of colour it goes when i have but I'm guessing it'll be a nice golden colour! I'm extremely happy with it and would give it a full 5 out of 5!!
Thanks for reading :)

Best dressed of 2011 VMA's!

Katy Perry is the reigning queen of my heart and this picture does nothing to lessen my love for her! The colour pop shoes, the oriental parasol and the candyfloss hair, she's incredible!

Beyonce looks radiant, and it's not just the tangerine dress giving her a glow, she's pregnant! Congratulations Beyonce, and it's nice to see you won't be losing any of your style points even during pregnancy :)

Victoria Justice looks like a walking glitterball! The shoes are incredible!! She could easily have gone overboard with the spangles but by keeping her hair sleek and simple and her makeup dark and brooding she's pulled it off, gorgeous.

And lastly little Selena Gomez, she looks pretty gothic here but the gold shoes and slicked back hair keep the focus on the incredible morticia-style dress!
Who do you think was the best dressed?
Thanks for reading :)

A £1 beauty find!

Hiya!
Another Asda opened near me recently so i went to have a little look around and see if there was any good beauty buys and i picked up this body butter for £1, i didn't expect much from it to be honest but thought i'd give it a go!
And it's amazing!! It's SO thick and creamy, makes my skin feel silky soft and the scent is very delicate but gorgeous! It smells very lightly of Cocoa Butter.
I seriously recommend it!!

My shoe wishlist!

Hiya!
In the absence of any actual money i'm just having to build myself a substantial clothing wishlist! Here's a few of my favourite shoes of the moment *sob* why can't they all be mine?!

Now, these are the very definition of a dream purchase because they're the Sam Edelman Grey Multi-Stud Boots, at a whopping £215 from Urban Outfitters! But they're perfection, so chic and wearable, you could wear them with anything, and the studs are just FIERCE, i love them more than words!

Now the Status Animal Court Shoe from Miss Selfridge! These are significantly more affordable than the Urban Outfitters boots at £48. I love leopard print, it's my all-time favourite print, but it's very easy for it to look cheap, but that's exactly what these shoes don't look! Love the slightly chunky heel and the platform too, guarantees that they'll be easy to walk in unlike a lot of cheaper priced courts.

Will you just look at that yummy colour?! I saw some similar to these in a magazine except they were from Primark but these top them, the suede texture adds a certain something to them, plus i bet they're more comfortable than Primark brogues too! These are the ASOS Mint Suede Lace-up Shoes and they're £35.

Would you LOOK at that ornate detailing on the buckles, just gorgeous! These could easily be triple the price that they are, for wearability, classic looks and overall stunningness they rate a 9.5 on the Richter scale of style!! Everyone should own a pair of boots in this perfect worn brown colour, and for only £39.99 what's your excuse not to?! These are the Brown Buckle Creeper Boots from River Island :)
And lastly but *sigh* definitely not leastly....

Now, these are not the usual type of shoes i go for, pink is by no means my favourite colour, velvet is not my favourite fabric but these are just dreamy! For whatever reason, i can't take my eyes off them, and plus they look SO comfy to wear! So cute and, even though they look like they'd be a nightmare to find things to wear with, so covetable! These are from Topshop (who have tons of amazing shoes at the moment!) and they're the Luxury Velvet Platform Sandals and they're £58.

Thanks for reading my little (scratch that, quite big) insomnia fuelled wishlist :)

Like fake tan? Then you'll love this!

I've just been browsing ASOS and noticed that ALL their tanning products have 20% off! They stock so many amazing brands too like St Tropez, Fake Bake and the very amusingly titled Tanatomicals range pictured above, ''Get a tan without looking like your gran'' being my personal favourite tag line!! I have just invested in the £20 tanning kit from Laurens Way, along with the voucher code from Vivianna Does Makeup  which took it down to an amazing £15! which is cheaper than one bottle of Laurens Way, never mind two! When it arrives i'll let you know what it's like and what my verdict is :) Anyway, back to the ASOS deal, the link for all you tanaholics is here, because it's always better to fake instead of bake!

I ♥ No7 Vouchers!!

Aren't we all super glad that Boots have started doing the £5 No7 vouchers when you spend over £5 again? Because i know i am! No7 is great make-up and skincare but is way too pricey, the £5 voucher really takes the sting out of (most of) the prices.
I don't have much money to play with at the moment until i get paid so i decided to just nab a nail varnish for just £2 with the voucher :)
I got it in the colour Me! Me! Me! and it's gorgeous!

I was aaages trying to pick a colour but this rich, bubblegum-ish pink really caught my eye! I've used it with my 17 Matte Topcoat on top and just on it's own and both times look fab, although i love how shiny it is when it's on its own;

Excuse the mess around my nails! It's actually dead easy to apply, the brush is nice and wide and the formula is really rich, you could apply just one coat if you wanted but i preferred two to get a proper colour pop! I love it, very happy with my voucher purchase, thank you Boots!!

What's in my make-up bag!

Hello!
I've seen this kind of post a lot on other peoples blogs and i always find them really interesting to read so thought i'd join the club and do one! :)
Firstly here's what my make-up bag looks like:

It's veeery small and totally doesn't fit the majority of my make-up in it so it mostly spills out into my handbag!  i keep meaning to buy another one but always find more important (read, frivolous) things to spend my money on!
I'll start with my face products:

Top left - ELF Complexion Perfection - £3.50 (i just bought this a few days ago and i'm loving it! I'll be doing a quick ELF review on what i bought sometime soon). Top right - Bourjois Delice de Soleil Bronzer - £8.99.
Middle left - Loreal Infallible foundation (for when i'm pale! I don't wear all this make-up on my face at once haha) - around £12 but i got it when it was half price! Next to that is my blusher brush, no idea where i got this from, i've had it for yonks! Then my Natural Collection blush in Peach Melba next to that which was £1.99. Below that is a little sponge i use to put my make-up on :) Then next to that at the top is Lush Colour Supplement in Light Yellow, now i got a voucher for this in a magazine so i thought i might as well give it a try and when i went into Lush the lady was so helpful and helped me match the colour to my skintone, it gives me a really pale, even look and i use it sometimes as my foundation if i want light coverage, or underneath my normal ''pale'' foundation Loreal Infallible for medium to full coverage! It's normally £7.95 so i was lucky to get it free, the pot will last me FOREVER, you only need a tiny bit for your whole face.
Underneath that is Maybelline Smoother Primer,  which is £8.99. I only got this because A) i hadn't used a primer before and B) it was on 3 for 2 in Superdrug when it first came out, so i thought i might as well give it a  go! It says Anti-Age on the front which is obviously pointless for me (so i thought) because i'm only 19, but it smooths out any cracks or open pores i might have and makes my base flawless! The only downfall is the teeny tiny pot, which won't last long, boohoo :(
And underneath that is my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse concealer, i've used this concealer for YEARS and it's brilliant, i don't like cream concealers so when i saw this one i snapped it up and i've never looked back! Until i can afford Touche Eclat, this is my dark circle destroyer!! Unfortunately, and this has brought many tears to my eyes, this has now been discontinued, i've no idea why because its incredible but luckily i have a lot of it left because you only need a little bit to cover your under eyes and blemishes! If anyone has any alternatives to this for me then please leave a comment, it'd be much appreciated :)
And next to that is my ''TANNED'' foundation haha i LOVELOVE this foundation, i want to get it in a pale shade too but it's too expensive for me at the moment! It's the Maybelline Anti-Age The Eraser foundation and it's £9.99. The sponge on the end is waaaay too complicated for me to get my head round so what i do is  apply it onto my face with the sponge on the end then use my own foundation sponge to smooth it over my face properly. It gives me a flawless, golden glow when i'm tanned and i just love the creamy consistency!
Then finally at the bottom is my Maxfactor Creme Puff powder in Candle Glow, this is my pale powder but it's unfortunately still a bit too tanned so i'm going to have to get another shade, i love Maxfactor powder though, it's definitely the best of the drugstore brands.
Now onto eyes!

Left - Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra Black mascara, i usually use this after a few coats of the mascara next to it because otherwise it clumps if i use it on its own! - This is £5.99 in Superdrug at the moment, snap it up!!. Next to that is Maxfactor False Lash Fusion mascara, my faveeee mascara, amazing brush and makes my spindly, titchy eyelashes look black and lush! - This is £8.99 down from £11.99 in Superdrug also, go Superdrug!! Next to thattttt is a Models Own eyeshadow blending brush, great for blending your eyeshadows, simples! - £5 from Boots.
Next to that at the top is the Accessorize Eye Wardrobe, this is an amazing palette! the colours are so pigmented and longlasting, the browns are my favourites. I got it with some false eyelashes and a lipgloss near christmas, but there's more pictures and info on this blog > http://www.luuux.com/health-beauty/accessorize-eye-wardrobe-eyeshadow-palette.
Underneath that is my Models Own eyeliner which i use as a eyebrow pencil, i love it but unfortunately it's almost gone :'( and i can't find it anywhere!! double :'(!!
Then it's the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner, i lost the little brush that comes with it so if anyone knows where i can get another similar one then let me know :) at the moment i'm just using a thin eyeshadow brush. This was £7.99.
And lastly Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner, my favourite liquid eyeliner by far, i'll just have to hope they don't discontinue this as well!! This is around £5.
Lastly lips! (Sorry for rambling on as usual!)
From left to right - Vaseline! The old favourite, i cannot live without this, it's my saviour because my pet hate is having dry lips, i can't stand it! Only 89p is good old Savers too, score! ELF Liquid Lipstick, I bought this the other day in my ELF haul (Free shipping on ELF now with the code QHIP123UK) and it's so nice! A really thick pigmented lipgloss, i'm not usually a big lipgloss fan but this does the trick! It was £1.50 and i got it in the shade Strawberry (look out for my ELF haul blog post coming soon for more info and swatches of it)
Then another ELF product! Mineral lipstick in Cool Coral, i love the formula and the light, wearable orange of this lipstick, £3.50.
Next Collection 2000 Lasting Colour lipstick in Orange Punch, an amazing bright orange! Even if you can't be bothered to apply much make-up this is a must have to just slick on your lips and go! Only £2.99, wow-wee!!
Now another new purchase from, you guessed it, ELF! haha, it's the Studio Matte Lip Colour in Coral which is very popular right now! I won't say too much about it because i'll be banging on about it in my ELF post but it's brilliant and easy to apply, although you'll need to keep applying it because staying power is not its strong point, £3.50.
Next along is 17 Shine On lipstick in Flirty which is £2.29 in Boots at the moment! This is my all time favourite lipstick, its a great formula, shiny and easy to apply!
Finally, Revlon Shiny Sheers in Dewy Blossom which cost me £1(!!) from Poundland! Sometimes you can grab great bargains from here, and this one is particularly good! I love this fun pink colour.

Thanks for reading, sorry for it being so long, yet againnn!! haha

My Skincare Routine!

Hello!
One of my favourite Youtubers, Hannah at xLittleWoodx, gave me the idea of doing a skincare post, because i'm sure everyone's a bit sick of hauls and outfits of the day haha, so that's what i'm going to do!
Check out Hannah's blog here as well!!

Firstly to get the top layer of my make-up off i'll use some Simple baby wipes, which are currently £1 at Sainsburys! Wey, then i use my Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser with the muslin cloth -

This is amazing at getting all of my makeup off deep down in my pores plus it makes my skin SO smooth and it's STILL £2.99 down from £3.99 in Superdrug at the moment so get yourself down there and snap up this Liz Earle dupe!
After that i use one of these Loreal Perfectly Clear cream/gel washes with the little scrublets -

My favourite is the pink cream wash, such a lovely gentle scent and just polishes off all the dead skin on my face making my skin glow! The little scrublet is ingenious! If you wanted to use this to take your makeup off you can thanks to the scrublet but i prefer to use my hot cloth cleanser so that i can get my eye makeup off as well :) I think these are about £1.99 in Savers but everywhere else i think they're closer to the £3 mark which is still really good for how much product you get!
My favourite moisturisers differ depending on what time of day it is, i use Astral for the day because i like how my makeup goes on over it, it makes my skin look really dewy and fresh, and that was £2.99 for a 200ml tub in Wilkinsons.

And for the night time i like to use Superdrug Vitamin E Night Cream, it's a gorgeous smelling, rich moisturiser that sinks in really quickly so you don't have to worry about it going all over your pillow and duvet! This was £1.99, which is an incredible price, it's the perfect partner for its accompanying hot cloth cleanser.

These are all things i use everyday (or most days, hungover/ill days are an exception! haha) but things i use intermittently are these:
Sudocrem! The saviour for bad skin days! I use this to just dab on my spots but you can use it as a face mask, it dries up the spots like nobodies business! Costs around £3.50 for a tub.

And finally! Once a week-ish i use the Good Things Five Minute Facial mask! I saw this reviewed on someone blog but i can't for the life of me remember whose!! So if anyone knows if they've seen it reviewed somewhere else then let me know :)

It smells gorgeous!! I love applying it to my face, it feels like such a treat! As you can see from the top picture of my (rather fetching, makeup less) face it's a light bluey-green and i love the feeling when it dries and goes completely stiff like cardboard, it's how i imagine having botox must feel like!! My mam bought it for £2.99 from Sainsburys for me because she knows how much i love trying new face masks but this one will definitely be the one i'll stick with for a while :)

Thanks for reading!! Hope you enjoyed something different :)

(Another) haul! (Boots, HMV & Dorothy Perkins)

Yes..i know!! I've been shopping again haha i swore i wouldn't but in my defence, i didn't buy much!
Firstly i'll do Boots as i bought the most here (surprise surprise!!)

This looooverly shimmery pink lipstick from Natural Collection in Sweet Pea, it's quite subtle and is great for an everyday lip look or for when you have a dramatic smokey eye as a nice muted colour. It was £1.99.

Now the hallowed Pink Mallow!! Everyone's heard of this and everyone has tried it but just so you know, i love it! haha it's a rich and wearable pink and that was also £1.99!

This one is from 17 and it cost £2.29, it had about £2 off! I love these lipsticks too, they're so shiny and nourishing on your lips! This is a nice shimmery colour, similar to Sweet Pea above but shinier.

Here is some swatches so you can see what they look like out of the tube :)

I got this from 17 mainly because i was A) curious and B) because i wanted to buy two 17 products so i got the free All About Nude makeup palette! but more on that later, i was really pleased with this nail varnish! i used it over a shimmery white nail varnish which i will feature next and it really had an amazing effect! it helped my nail varnish dry quicker and has given it a really interesting completely matte effect, check it out in my earlier post here! This was £3.99.

This is the nail varnish that i wore with the Matte Effect above and it looks great! really unusual! It's lovely without the Matte Effect on top as well though, only £1.89 or thereabouts!

And my free gift after buying 2 17 products is this lovely palette!! The eyeshadows at the top are exactly my style of eyeshadow so i was loving it, the blush (bottom left) is not so much what i'm into as i don't like cream blushes but it gives quite a nice colour, and i haven't tried the lipstick yet! Here are some swatches.

Without flash ^

With flash ^

I wore these eyeshadows today so i'll show you a few pics of my makeup look today so you can get an idea of what they look like on, i was wearing Pink Mallow by Natural Collection on my lips too

Now onto the last thing i bought from Boots!

I saw this ring in this blog post by Poppy Red Lips and i HAD to have it!! It's gorgeous! I can't wait to wear it :) And as you can see, it was £1.50, STEAL!
Now for Dorothy Perkins!

Check out this beauty of a ring! I had to get it in large because that was the only size they had :( boo! but it actually fits ok, not as snugly as i'd like but i'll be losing no sleep over it! It reminds me of some kind of treasure you'd find in ancient Egypt haha and this cost £2 :)

I have a bit of a soft spot for statement earrings! i think it's cos i have short hair so i like the look of my earrings poking out from under my hair, and these are pretty beautiful! Love all the pastel colours and although i don't usually like silver earrings these are lushhhhh and they were £2.
Finally HMV.

All About Steve!! haha i bought this for £3 (the top picture it says it was originally £20, dream on HMV!!) because i'd heard Sandra Bullock won a Razzie for her acting role and also, Bradley Coopers in it, yummm! so i thought i'd check it out...and it was actually great! I really enjoyed it! The characters were endearing, especially the news anchorman played by Thomas Haden Church, he was hilarious! I really recommend it :)

Thanks for reading, and sorry this turned into a mega long post again!! haha :)
